Frequently asked question

WHAT IS THE ISRAEL TOURLEADER COURSE?

The Israel Tour Leader course is a streaming- and study platform that makes it possible for anyone who would like to lead tours to Israel or wants to learn about the Land, to gain tremendous knowledge of the homeland of Jesus from the comfort of your own home.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Israel Tour Leader course combines teachings of top-level Israeli educators and experts, virtual tours to Biblical sites, and input from pastors from around the world who love to tour the Land.
From the launch of the course, or any later moment of registration, you will be able to access the platform for a full year.
In the first 6 month after the launch (Jul-Dec ’21), 8 courses will be uploaded to the platform (watch sample course trailer). Each course consists of several episodes on subtopics. The program contains as well additional materials and references for self-study. Furthermore, our advanced 360 virtual touring technology will take you to approximately 50 sites in the Land in about 30 webinars (watch sample webinar) that will be streamed throughout the first 6 months of the course. After their live streaming, they will be available on-demand.

CAN THE CONTENT BE WATCHED ON DEMAND?

The weekly live webinars will be recorded and uploaded to the course portal after which they can be watched on demand. Moreover, there is additional prerecorded material available.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I COMPLETE A COURSE?

After some of the courses, there is a short quiz with 25 questions. 15 correct answers are needed in order to finalize the course. After finishing all courses, there will be an overall exam with 50 questions. 30 correct answers are needed to pass. The final exam will be available from about January 2022.

Completion of the course equips you to lead tours for Keshet Journeys or any other tour operator or travel agent. After successfully passing the final exam, you will receive a certificate that serves as proof of your gained knowledge.

WILL I BE ABLE TO LEAD A TOUR IN ISRAEL WITHOUT A LOCAL ISRAELI CERTIFIED GUIDE?

According to Israeli law only certified Israeli tour guides are allowed to guide groups in Israel. An additional clause allows ‘spiritual shepherds’ to lead tours too, on sites that are spiritually relevant. This means that pastors, clergy and Bible teachers can lead instead of a local tour guide. However, we at Keshet Journeys do recommend to always hire a local guide too for e.g. logistical and communicational support.
